LRE is seeking a part-time or full-time Office Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our dynamic and growing team. We are seeking a detail-oriented Office Assistant with strong organizational skills and accounting experience. You will collaborate closely with the office manager to ensure the office runs smoothly.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Payroll / Employee Benefits

  • Invoicing

  • Assist with accounts payable & accounts receivable

  • Answering a multi-line phone and greeting in-person visitors

  • General office management tasks.

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles required

  • Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office

Survey Technician

LRE is seeking a motivated survey technician. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and committed to high-quality work performance. Must have excellent planning, organization, and communication skills, and can work well with other staff in a project team environment. The Survey Technician will be collectingdata utilizing common surveying equipment and will be essential functions listed below.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Perform manual labor such as bending, digging with a hand shovel, cutting brush for lines, carrying equipment, stakes, rebar and other items that may be heavy (between 5 and up to 50 lbs.) daily

  • Set up, adjust and operate surveying equipment and instruments

  • Maintain equipment and vehicles

  • Assist in conducting surveys to determine location of natural features and man-made structures on the surface, underground and underwater

  • Collect field data using common surveying equipment to report information back to surveyors and other LRE professionals

  • Measure, record and calculate data based on instrument readings

  • Lay out, locate and recover markings, stakes, and other such signifiers at work locations

  • Help create drawings and computer images of job locations

  • Collect information needed to carry out new surveys using source maps, previous survey data, photographs, computer records and other relevant information

  • Ability to plan, schedule work and complete work assignments within established budgets and timelines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Entry Level Civil Engineer

LRE is seeking a full-time Entry Level Civil or Environmental Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in private land development, water resources, and municipal infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with a team of experienced engineers in a supportive and engaging work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in site visits, agency coordination meetings, and public meetings as required

  • Support consultation with regulatory agencies

  • Contribute to civil design tasks for site development, water resources, and municipal projects

  • Prepare technical reports and documentation

  • Perform engineering calculations under the supervision of a senior engineer

  • Assist in the preparation of contract documents, including drawings and specifications

  • Develop cost estimates for project planning and budgeting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited program

  • EIT certification (preferred, but not required)

  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred, but not required)

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

The successful candidate will work directly with experienced engineers and professionals, contributing to real-world projects that serve both public and private sector clients.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Assist with field visits, site assessments, and data collection.

  • Construction inspection on a wide range of construction projects.

  • Support permitting and coordination with regulatory agencies.

  • Assist in the design of water resources, site development, and municipal infrastructure projects.

  • Support preparation of technical reports and engineering documentation.

  • Perform engineering calculations under the supervision of senior staff.

  • Aid in the development of construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.

  • Provide general support on various engineering tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited university.

  • Interest in water resources and civil/site engineering.
